These Terms apply to the Brain Forge app on Android (com.totuslife.brainforge) and iOS (com.totuslife.brainforge). A separate legacy Play listing exists as com.brainforge; use the package shown in the store for your install.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Brain Forge, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you obtain Brain Forge through Google Play, your use of the Play store and Google's services is also subject to Google Play Terms of Service and applicable Google policies where they apply to end users. If you obtain Brain Forge through the Apple App Store, your use of the App Store and Apple's services is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and applicable Apple policies.

2. Description of the App

Brain Forge is a cognitive training app that offers brain games, puzzles, and chess. It includes:

• 19 games (clear English names with optional Latin subtitles in the app, e.g. Memory Match (Memoria), Stroop Challenge (Verbum et Color), Todoku (Sudoku), Totus Relay (Lux Memoria), Totus Word Quest, Factor Flow (Numerus Primus), Neuro-Link Logic (Nexus Symbolicus), Word Search Quest (Labyrinthus Verbi), and others). Boss levels include original mini-games such as checkers, bug trivia, Bomb Squad, peg solitaire, and algebra
• 250 levels per game (with Easy, Hard, and Genius-style tiers as shown in the app)
• Boss / bonus challenges between some levels (mini-games such as Tic-Tac-Toe or Connect Four style puzzles, depending on the main game); these run on your device
• Chess vs AI with local chess points (on-device), and optional multiplayer via room codes (Firebase sync for the live board only; see the Privacy Policy)
• Optional Arcade unlockable mini-games (Latin or English titles—abstract strategy, word and logic puzzles, geometry, reflex and brick-break style challenges, paddle/sports-style modes, and similar; the catalog may grow); each title stays locked until you spend earned training credits to unlock it; unlock state and credit balance may sync via Firebase (anonymous account) as described in the Privacy Policy
• Local storage of your progress, scores, and summaries such as total cognitive score on the home screen; Factor Flow, Neuro-Link Logic, and Word Search Quest (and other training titles) use on-device storage for progress and scores and are not uploaded to our servers as full game state
• Optional bundled background music (instrumental loops) on the Settings screen; off by default, preferences stored on-device only. On Android, the app may use audio playback settings capabilities (for example audio focus or volume/playback behavior) only for this optional foreground feature—not to access your media library, record audio, or play in the background (see the Privacy Policy)
• Optional Language selector: all 50 listed languages include bundled menus, settings, stats, Settings, Arcade catalog text, and translated training-game titles and short descriptions; English remains the fallback if a string is missing. Word puzzles (word search grids, crosswords, scrambles, hangman, riddles, and similar) may still use English or Latin letters or English word/clue banks in some locales—see the Privacy Policy.
• Optional session break reminder — a dismissible, non-medical prompt may appear after long continuous use to suggest rest or variety; snooze preferences are stored on-device only (see the Privacy Policy)
• Optional on-device text-to-speech encouragement, haptics, and game sound effects in training or bonus challenges (no recording or upload of your voice; see the Privacy Policy)

3. Compliance with laws and acceptable use

You agree to use Brain Forge only in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms. You will not use the app for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes. Features that sync data over the internet must not be used to harass others, distribute malware, or violate Google Play Developer Program Policies or Google Play user policies applicable to your account, or (for the iOS version) the App Store Review Guidelines and Apple Developer Program policies.

If you allow a minor to use Brain Forge, you (parent or guardian) decide whether they may use optional internet-connected features—Chess multiplayer (room code) and Arcade training-credit sync—as described in the Privacy Policy. Those features do not include in-app chat or public profiles; share room codes only with people you trust. Supervision supports Google Play family expectations and safe use of online features.

Child safety / CSAE. Brain Forge prohibits using the app or any connected feature to create, upload, distribute, request, facilitate, or promote content or conduct involving child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, sexualization of minors, predatory behavior toward children, or any other endangerment of a child. Brain Forge does not provide user uploads, in-app chat, public profiles, public feeds, dating, matchmaking, or user-generated content features. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement. Reports of suspected online child exploitation may also be made to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children CyberTipline (https://report.cybertip.org/) in the United States or to the appropriate child-safety authority in your region.

U.S. COPPA. Parents and guardians in the United States may have specific rights regarding information collected online from children under 13 under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). EEA, UK, and Switzerland. If you are in those regions, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the UK GDPR, or Swiss law may grant you data protection rights regarding personal data in Brain Forge. 4. Not medical; entertainment and learning use of stats and “brain” features

Brain Forge is not a medical app, not a substitute for professional healthcare, and not certified or cleared as a medical device or regulated health software. Any statistical summaries, scores, charts, regional percentages, training-credit mechanics, or visualizations that reference neuroanatomy or “brain” areas are provided for entertainment and general learning only. They must not be interpreted as factual medical information, clinical assessments, cognitive test results, or evidence of brain health or pathology. We make no claim that playing the app prevents, treats, or diagnoses any condition. If you have health concerns, consult a qualified clinician.

5. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Brain Forge for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Use the app in any way that could harm others or the app

6. User Conduct

When using Brain Forge, you agree to:

• Use the app in a lawful and respectful manner
• Not abuse the Chess multiplayer feature (e.g., harassment, cheating, or misuse of room codes)
• Not attempt to manipulate Arcade training-credit earn, unlock, or server-confirmed spend in ways that violate the app’s intended use or applicable law

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access to online features if we detect misuse.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Brain Forge is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Defects will be corrected
• The app will meet your specific expectations

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Brain Forge, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data (e.g., if you clear app data or lose your device)
• Interruption of service
• Any harm resulting from use of the app

Our total liability for any claims related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (or zero if the app is free).

9. Third-Party Services

Brain Forge uses:

• Firebase (Google): For Chess multiplayer room creation and syncing, and (with anonymous sign-in) optional Arcade training-credit balance, progress fields used only for credit math, and server-confirmed unlocks as described in the Privacy Policy. Use of these features is subject to Firebase’s terms and Google’s privacy policy.

Google is an independent provider. Google is not responsible for Brain Forge’s content or your use of the app beyond what Google states in its own terms. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or actions of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

10. Translations

The app offers a Language selector and bundled translations for the interface and training-game summaries as described in the Privacy Policy. In-game puzzle letters, grids, and clue/answer words may remain English-based in some locales. Unless we publish separate localized legal documents, the English Privacy Policy and these English Terms are the controlling versions for compliance, support, and Google Play / App Store disclosures.

11. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update the app or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review them periodically.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the app developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
